1914 Bugle

Hi guys. This is my first Bugle and I know very little about them.




































Firstly do you guys think it's a genuine one? If yes would the rope match it and what does the rope stand for? Cheers

looks ok to me.

Lots of fake copper and brass bugles around but they don't usually have markings on them, though they often have a fake cap badge soldered to them. The markings could mean its a good one. The cords look modern and though originals would have a meaning but these probably do not.

Looks a good piece. I believe this company became
'Boosey & Hawkes' in the early 30's.........

Thanks guys, again you guys are a great help =) . I've now removed the rope, I did think it looked a little odd. Yes I've seem plenty of them badged bugles around but my gut feeling was to completely stay clear of them.
