    Hi
i have a pair of binoculars that i'm trying to research.
I can't see any marker marks, there are two large broad-arrow stamps.

    Other markings are:
    LIEUT H. M. ROBINSON
NORTH STAFFS ?? REGT (?? = a bit hard to read)

They are also marked: Regd No.644526 Pat.No.23825
which according to Google may make them W.Watson & Sons Ltd 1916?
Leather case is stamped inside: Ross Ltd. 111 New Bond St London
I am curious to know more about the binoculars
and who may have been the original owner.
I did find a Second Lieutenant Harry Robinson that may be him, not sure

Sounds like you have found out most of there is to find out, though perhaps you might find more on him.

Try getting the War diary for his unit from the national archives as officers are usually mentioned by name.
    Regards,

    Jerry

    Whatever its just an opinion.
