Thanks, they are a very appealing and striking pair of medals and with most British medals the naming allows them to be research which sometimes allows a wealth of extra information to be discovered. In this case along with the two medal rolls I was also able to find 5 pages of his service papers, detailing where he was from, age, a description of him including height, eye colour, some scars etc...his religion, when and why he died and so on....by kirby
