British Victorian medals

Article about: Hi guys,not sure i should post these here but i've had some interest & though it was a good idea to share them. Stewy First up is a Boer war medal,engraved. One of only 106 issued.

    The one i've seen is the 68th Regiment ( forerunner of the DLI ) which is why i'm interested , Alma, Balaklava, Inkermann, Sebastopol bars !!
    The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

    Hi Stewy, these are great. This is not an area I have ever ventured into, but I can apprieciate the worksmanship of the medals plus being researchable makes them even more attractive. Thanks for showing them.

    phil , i was actually comparing the standards of the close ups to stewys and your ss cups and i noticed the quality and style was very similar !!

    Hi Paul,just had a quick look & for a four bar. You're looking at around £730-900. Alma seems to be the most sought after,which bumps the price up. Let me dig a bit more. Stewy S
