Default Cambridgeshire regiment with Suffolk corps dog tags

My great grandfather was conscripted into the army in 1916. Was in the Cambridgeshire regiment with a four number regiment number. I have some letters , his original next of kin postcard and his original musket training card to confirm this. However today I found not only his cap badge and shoulder titles but also his dog tags! Cap and shoulder titles say Cambridgeshire regiment but his dog tags state Suffolk Corps with a six number regiment number? Any experts who can answer this would be great. He was wounded with shrapnel gassed and ended the war shell shocked spending the majority of his time in hospital until he was discharged in 1959!
