As far as I can find out, his Battalion was part of the British 3rd Infantry Division which took part in the Battle of Bazentin Ridge which started on 14 July 1916.

You can buy copy/replacement ww1 medals and blank death pennys on Ebay that you could get marked up with the guys details to put in your display
