Some of these will be Victorian in date, I think.

Top one is the 30th Regt of Foot which was the Cambridgeshire, although in 1881 merged with the East Lancs. I can give you an exact date for it when I am home with books, but circa 1855-1881.

The middle one is a Post Office button the monogram letters are GPO.

The third one is a Victorian Royal Naval button, the roped edge will give some extra detail but again I wuld need to check the dates for you. Its certainly pre 1901 and the maker I think puts it into the 1870s.

Cool, I knew they were old but didn't know they were pre-1900. Thanks Steve!

    No probs Rylan,

The Naval one was in this design originally for Captains but after 1843 it was used for many other ranks, including midshipmen, Surgeons and Pursers. It was changed in 1891, so 1843-91 in use but I will stick with my original estimate that its later in the period looking at the back mark and is likely to be 1870-1880.

    Cheers
