Help identifying Cap Badge

Hi folks, A friend of mine forwarded me a picture of her Grandfather during WW1 wanting to know if I knew what Regiment he was in? I'm away from my reference's at the mo so I thought I would post the photo here & see if any of you guys & girls could help out ? Many thanks for looking. Regards Paul
