I wept when i found this out this morning and i weep now reading all these comments.

According to what I heard on the news there would be worldwide 2 gents left; on American and one Australian ex-soldiers.
Must be strange to be the last witness of that time...
I wouldn't trade the place, living what they have lived it feels....more like a punishment to me.
I hope they don't read thise!!
Just to complete the story of Harry Patch; it was "officier de la Légion d'honneur" he was made on the 9 th of marsh of thise year.
Just found out there is a list of the people who recieved it on wikipedia, but his name isn't on it does anybody know how to do thise?

Very sad news. I saw a lot of Union Flags being flown at half mast yesterday as a mark of respect to Harry.
