    Sightseeing in Ceylon.

    The Australian Troopship, HMAT Kabinga, left from Sydney on September 12th., 1916 carrying Light Horse re-enforcements. It stopped at Adelaide and Ceylon on the way to Suez, arriving on October 24th..

    This first one shows some mounted troops with what looks like a burnt out B.E.2e near Jerusalem.

    Thanks Dave. Unfortunately there's quite a few in the collection that are of great subject matter, but poor quality due to over-exposure and bad development. It would be nice if some original negatives made it back here, but I've never seen any to date.



    Crashed plane may be an RE8 observation type.
    Thanks Lithgow, after looking at some photos online of RE8's, I'd say that's what it is.




    Here's a photo of another BE2, no. 4312. It looks like a BE2c.
