    Latest addition to the helmet family. This M1917 belonged to Pvt. Michael Peter Hunt, Co. B, 355th infantry, 89th division. According to the 355th regimental history, he was wounded during a gas attack on the night of August 7th, 1918, near Beaumont, France. He lived with a brother for the rest of his life and died in 1969.

    My paternal grandfather, Gunder Anderson, served with Michael P. Hunt in the same unit and was also gassed in the same attack. Would it be permissible to use these photographs of Michael P. Hunt's helmet in a future publication?
