    Some days ago I posted this helmet asking for help to identify the flash, thanks to member aef1917 for letting me know it was a Northamptonshire Regiment and finding the Medal Index Card of it's original owner.


    It's identified to Private Louis Reginald Guy from Northamptonshire Regiment, probably served in France from 1916/17 and earned the British War Medal and the Allied Victory Medal. Create a Free Account

    One question, the maker stamp reads "D/A 106", I believe the "D" stands for helmet maker James Dixon & Sons Ltd of Sheffield, the "A" stands for steel supplier Edgar Allen & Co Ltd of Sheffield and the "106" is the batch number. Is that right?
