    Hey everyone!

Hope your all keeping well! I just thought I would share with you a little piece we purchased today. This is a tortoise shell and silver mounted MMG sweetheart brooch. The hallmarks date it to 1916. I find this a really sweet and interesting piece and am glad to have it added to our collection.

A good source of information on the Motor Machine Gun Corps can be found on this link: The MGC Motor Machine Gun units of 1914-1918. I found this rather interesting.

Sorry about the pictures, I tried to get it to focus the best I could.

Any opinions/comments welcomed and appreciated as always!
