Hi guys,
A friend of mine gave these to me. He said that he found them wadded up inside of a grenade. Do any of you know what these are? They are made of what feels like a very coarse wool.
Thanks,
Mo

Reminds me of span-am/indian war insidnia not sure what these are for, but for free you cant lose
According to him it was a Citron-Fougasse type grenade.
They are French WW1 patches for a Balloon Mechanic!
No idea how rare they might be, but definitely a nice find
