    James,
If you don't mind educating me, What is your avatar?
I like it and it seems kind of regal.

    Morning to all,
a nice tunic! it is the khaki cotton service dress M1911; it is not very easy to find in good condition, because it was very little used during the WW1.
Much widespread is the M1917 wool pattern, because it was used during WW1 on the European Front; in fact I think the M1911 cotton was partially distributed to Veterans who came back to home in the summer of 1919, replacing the wool pattern.
I confirm that the M1911 uniform is made of "chino" cotton cloth, this cloth began to be appreciated by the US Army during the Hispano-American War.
For comparison, below you can see two examples of my collection.

    Regards
    Roberto
