Sauvé quand même !
"And yet rescued" is the title of thise more then 50 cm high Belgian patriotic plaster statue.
I need to find out where the original is to start the restoration.
A nice item to add to a display I think.

Hey Chris,
plasters are very undervalued to admass!
And thise while plasters generally stand closer to the original artist.
Bronzes are made by bronze casters, mostly in different workplace by different people.
Plasters generaly are study's, samples or models to be presented to the client.
Not saying thise is, but it might!
A great extra is the coloring that was hand done, also probably by the same artist.
I got it for 20€ at a sales room!;-)

nice buy Kris.
sounds like a bargain! Who made them?
Very nice. Similar in style to the French "Le Jour" spelter statues that I keep seeing in antique shops..... although yours is infinitely nicer!
The base does certainly look like the base of a spelter figure we own.
