Scottish officer's broadsword

I was unsure where to post this. I obtained this from the Liverpool arms fair this morning. Although it is Victorian, it is just as likely to have been used by an officer in WW1. These swords tended to get handed down or re-used because of the initial price to purchase them. many officer carried a pre-owned sword.

The sword was retailed by Gardiner & Co of Argyle Street, Glasgow. Much of the original plating to the blade remains - although it has worn away on the hilt. the scabbard has several dents, but everything else is in good condition.
