Article about: Bought this 14/15 Star medal from ebay for Sgt Samuel Dillow, D company 10th Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers who was wounded on the 17th December 1915 in the front line trenches near Ypres.

    He worked pre war with the gas company and was made a sgt as soon as he joined Kitchener's army so must have had previous service.

P. H. Lewis, and entertained the guests to a concert. Shopping Mr. Thomas John Griffiths, Glanywcrydd-terrace. has been promoted to take charge of Messrs Dicks' .Boot Establishment at Llandyssul. The Army.Mr. Reginald Lloyd, son of the 1att Dr. H J. Lloyd, Tvnyeoed, has been gazetted a lieutenant in the Army Service Corps. The Rev. T. S. Hughes, pastor of Christ Church, left 011 Monday for Yarmouth as chaplain to the Welsh forces. Mr. David Richards, Leamington House, has left the employ of the Urban Council to join the North Wales Pals Battalion. lir. Samuel Dillow, who was formerly employed by the Gas Company, has been promoted sergeant in Kitchener's army. Postal. Mr. Griffith Griffiths, of the Aelfor Sub-Post Office has been appointed a relieving sorter at Chester. The Navy. -Mr Richard Williams, late of Water-street, arrived home during the. week after au absence of over two years and after spending a eoyple of days in the old home left on Saturday to rejoin his ship at Newcastle

    This one has his photograph and mention of him being wounded, 2nd March 1916 so not sure if this relates to his being wounded in December 1915 or another wounding, though probably the former.

    There was a KIA WW1 1914 trio on sale at the local market in Earlestown the other week. He was a 19 year-old soldier from the RWF. Set complete with death penny and WW2 set to his brother. The vendor was asking £400 for all medals, photos, and associated paperwork.
