    That is so cool! But I think the Defence Department stamp is post WWI.

    always hard to put an exact date by the DD because there is a number of styles..i tend to go on the thickness of the stamp as later DDs are always more refined..i can see why you say that though, because the broadarrow is up higher to the DD, but i have matched that on some other gear..hard to know

    Was the "Dad and Dave" stamp used on any WWI dated gear?
