    Yes it is British made. The US bought uniforms and field equipment from Britain after the US infantry landed in Europe.
    English made gear is desirable to collectors.

    Steve is correct.

    Cap made in Britain for the US Army. This is the original "Overseas Cap".

    Our troops never wore this pattern of cap.
