ww1 CEF Engineers or 10 th Battalion Insignia?

Hello Gents,

I've come across a helmet with a red stencilled insignia of a beaver encircled by a maple leaf wreath and topped with a crown. I'm quite sure this is an Engineer's insignia however, the 10 th battalion stencilled insignia is quite similar, in fact almost identical. Hoping someone can definitively identify this insignia. As I said, probably engineers and if so I'd like to see the comparisons and differences to the 10th battalion insignia.

I think it's Engineers, since the circle between the beaver and the wreath isn't present on the 10th Bn. badge.
