Here is my only cuff ranked tunic i bought off Blunderbuss a few years back . It came out of French Theatrical costumiers ,and is only half lined inside. The cuffs have wear to the ranking braid ,and the weave, colour is markedly different to most Barathea made SD Tunics ive handled from the 1940s . The equipment build up is an ongoing project , still looking for an officers haversack and map case from great war. The India pattern officers canteen is aluminium and of course much flimsier than the troops pattern. The belt is dated 1916 ,and the binocular case 1915. The compass case is marked to Royal Field Artillery.

Thanks guys , so far its best attribute is a private purchase RA officers 1st Pattern Brodie with its khaki cover ,to which a bronze cap badge has been fixed. I got it for £600 and it has to be one of my rarer pieces i own .

    SWEEEEEEET!!!!!!!

Also, I assume this is an original ww1 uniform that went to a "French Hollywood" costume studio. Is this correct?? Very nice setup.

    Rob,

Lovely set up. The helmet is a corker! You did very well with the price. If it has a private purchase liner which I assume it does then its an £800+ helmet. A great find.
Can you post pics of the liner?

Buywye has an original officers haversack here:

These are not easy to find and complete with its strap. Top end of the market price but looks to be in overall sound condition.

    Happy New Year

    Mark
