The centenary event of ww1 has now finished but hopefully interest in the area is still high!

I picked these up at an antique fair today. For about £25 , for paper and pins that seems alot but I think I paid an alright price considering these are 100+ year olds and its the sort of item not expected to out last the day of the event it was made for.

My favourite one would have to be the jewish one with the Scottish ensign lion on the back. Very interesting!

If you have any questions or think you know anything about the pins then say! Pretty cool items overall. Might be interesting for you guys down south as this is stuff you may have little exposure to considering its Scottish!

not entirely sure how to frame them.

Was either going to have them standing upright on cork or cardboard.
    Or
Use an old bit of cloth and have them framed in a glass portrait as if they were pinned on someones chest.

Behind glass would be better as it offers better protection.

Nice group, ephemera like this doesn't often survive in such nice shape.
Usually it's just the shinny metal bits that last a hundred plus years.

That's a nice set of fundraising flags for £25... you would be amazed what these can fetch. Have a look at the two below, both are WW1 period... one is priced at £7.99p and the Jewish one is £36.99p

    Cheers,
    Steve
