Very nice. It has been well looked after. Any makers details inside?

    Cheers, Ade.

Nice find! Nice cap! Yes, it is real. Not much money in faking these.
I'm sure some one out there is making repros but you can tell them apart a mile away.

I notice that this is a trend on this forum. A lot of folks always assume that everything is a fake until some one else tells them its okay. That is the beauty of not collecting Third Reich stuff. When you are talking about WWI US items; with the exception of some rare US insignia and aviation stuff, you can for the most part be pretty confident that what you have is genuine.

The makers details inside are faint. I can only make out an address below what must have been a logo: Post & G***** Avenue, San fransico. I'm very pleased with the cap. It cost me £30. So not a bad price to pay for something in this condition.

Very nice! Manufacturer would be B. Pasquale Co. According to their catalog, your cap would have cost $3.75 when originally produced...

Excellent info there! Thanks yuengling. Now I know who made it and what it cost when new. when you think about it probably cost the same today as it did then....in modern money.
