Thumbs up WWI Italian Medal Group

Hey Everyone! I'm ecstatic that this beaut came in the mail yesterday. It belongs to a man by the name of Dominico. The rest of his name I cant read too well (help is always appreciated). The medals themselves are the Victory Medal and the Commemorative Medal. the Victory Medal is a type 3 made by F. M. Lorioli & Castelli of Milan. The rainbow ribbon with red, the color of courage and sacrifice at the center, representing the colors of the allies flags and presenting an allegory of calm after storm. The Commemorative Medal was made by Stefano Johnson of Milan and the ribbon significance is due to the fact the the war was mostly fought with Austria. Because of this, the medal bears the same ribbon of the Independence Medal.

I love the document. I was lucky to come across one once before. A friend of the family is the V.P. of an Italian Bikers Club. he saw one on eBay and asked me to use my account to purchase it. i bought a frame and put it together nice for him and now it's beautifully on display at the club house.
