I would definitely be interested in the 81st division wildcat patch
Hi there
Can you post close ups of front and back. The plastic covering partially obscures the design manufacturing techniques.
cheers
Phil
Thanks Michael
There are certain material , construction and stitching traits that reproduction WWI patches have that were produced during the 60's onwards that have now been in collections for 60 plus years.
Thankfully your ones don't show these traits and looks like they have been in the same possession for near on 100 years(possibly).
I won't mention these traits ,on any forum, as fakers have been known to produce the same faked patch with added ammendment and selling within several weeks of being pointed out on another forum!!
Also during the 70's and 80's there was an individual who produced some of the best WWI fakes and was only picked up after too many rare examples were turning up , was then suspected and a "sting " operation was put into place to flush him out (by merely making suggesting which he duly noted and carried out) , which worked!

Thanks for the info.
Nicely framed and with titles underneath this would make a great display.
