    I love the old postcards and photo-postcards - notably the latter, though at times I can't help but wonder whatever became of the person in uniform? They seem to me to be very poignant. Congratulations on the pick ups.

    A few others, the Prince of Wales in the uniform of the Grenadier Guards for the Welsh troops fund and his uncle the Duke of Gloucester in the uniform of the Royal Hussars.

    a photo that may be of interest to jerry, the young chap in question is holding the ball in this pic of a south wales borderers football team, he was born in my village in Yorkshire, the newspaper cutting gives the rest of the story,

    jerry, I only have the scan I attached, the original belongs to his granddaughter, who kindly let me have a copy, have added a pic of his grave,

    Great postcards guys.Keep 'em coming.I'll post (!) a few of mine soon when I get a chance.I'm trying to specialise in the Norfolk regiment but ill grab whatever takes my fancy.My local antiques center recently had a huge collection of cards brought in and I was lucky enough to be there at the right time...I'd say 90 % of them were from the same family.Am I the only one who wishes that the name of the man or men on these things were added at the time!!??

    All sold now....
