    to any visor cap collectors out there, i have a WWI authentic American visor cap but since there are no markings anywhere on the cap i'm not sure what kind it is or who wore it. It is in beautiful condition but i just can't find anything like it online!!! i'm also thinking of starting a collection so is anyone has a visor cap they don't want send me pictures and a price at rokstar@ftcnet.net

    I believe rank on the uniform is for Lt Colonel.
    This link may not answer your question but it does give some nice info and may be of some interest.

    One must also note that the young air wing was under the singnel branch of the Army

    If your main interest is WWI US military, Philip Katcher’s book ‘The American Soldier U.S. Armies in uniform, 1755 to the present’ has a section on uniforms from 1890 to 1920, with a number of decent illustrations.
    I could try and post them for you but there may be copy-wright issues!
