Well the photo is identified as Gen.August Schmidt congratulates Tanker during the Battle of Stalingrad.
In any case, he has one ear left, right?
What I would wonder is why does his tunic look so Huge on him? Even his Cap looks gigantic on him. He looks emaciated...didn't they Feed their Panzer men? Sheesh...
