Anything Unusual Going on in this Pic?

    That is correct--he is wearing the "57er" ribbon bar, so the pic was taken after the re-insitution of the TR awards in "proper" form.

    I posted this to show that what one thinks is a period photo is not always such, and while this one does not show any headgear anomalies, there are others that do (which I will add to this thread when I find them)

    and our man here was a general for rail ways, i.e. the Etappe. I celebrate railways and the military, and look back with great fondness on my time in such a role. It was like Christmas.

    also, Gruess nach dem Hessischen.

    I nearly fell off the train platform there in 2009 trying to get the ICE for Hamburg-Dammtor.

    What a business trip that was.

    That is also the former V Corps area of blessed memory in USAREUR.

    First thing I thought when I saw those glasses late 50's 60's I too had a principal mid sixties with same glasses. Neat picture anyway. timothy
