Hi guys,
This is my first visor. I got it for $200. It's not in the best condition but I like it a lot, and seeing as how it's my first visor, it's special to me.
Can anyone identify the maker?
Regards,
Mo

Hi Mo, an original if somewhat "salty" condition schirmmutze. I cannot tell you the maker. But it is a private purchase cap.
Was the waffenfarbe originally white or yellow? Hard to tell due to the ageing.
Cheers, Ade.
I considered the possibility of it being yellow, but I figured that was just wishful thinking on my part. Considering the "saltiness" of the cap itself my guess is that it's white.
Try pulling back the piping from the body of the cap, as this will show the true colour as it will not have been exposed to the light so much.
Cheers, Ade.
Nice visor cap!! I would have dropped $200 on that in a heartbeat!!
What was the true color of the piping after you pulled it back??
It's still hard to tell, but I still believe it's white. I will post a picture later tonight and see what you guys think.
a nice salty Signal cap for sure.... private PR yep, not tell more..
Well, guys, I tried to take good pictures of the piping but I can't seem to get good ones. I did, however, pull it back as Ade suggested, and I found a couple spots where it's a nice lemon yellow. After looking at it more I have decided that I think it is a signal cap.
How do you know it is a private purchase cap? Are signal caps rare?
Thanks,
Mo
Thats a nice looker Obk, some little blighter has had a good chew on it, but still salty
