Army sonderfuhrer or ...?

This cap was bought off of mebay when it had just an imperial cockarde; guy i got it from added correct insignia. Seems the cap's in dispute in other, ahem, quarters. (bluish band and e.m. Type lining rather than mouse gray band). I here there are color variations. And this looks bluer in some light, grayer in other. Can someone take a crack at it, please? Cheers, david.

I am certainly no expert by any means but I think Sonderfuhrer see "Collectors Guild Wehrmacht Admin Official's tunic" as this would appear to be a good match.
Once you have read the explanation provided things should be a lot clearer.
