Good news! I have received an email from my mail forwarding people informing me that the visor has reached my UK forwarding address! Hence I can expect delivery most likely on Sunday!

Well after another fruitless attempt at holding the visor at this angle and that, I still cannot see any trace of a makers logo under the sweat diamond but what I did find was THIS...

A clear '7' stamp, is that a size indicator? Also a hand written '9', what could that be? (I checked your book Tony but no clues there for me I'm afraid)

Hat is made by Erel. The "7" would be for "57"--the size. There is always a 2nd #, which I always speculated was a benchmark.

Interesting, thank you for the information.

Can I ask, with the complete lack of makers marks, what pins this visor as being made by Erel?

Look further into the edges of the lining and you will see some red (probably) pencil marks at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions.
