Now thats interesting, i notice that on the preceeding caps the soutache is all one piece as expected , the SS example appears to be in two pieces or is this just stitching covering the apex of the soutache.

Do you know how difficult it is to hold a cap and a needle and thread and a video camera at the same time!

Ouch! Watch the fingers . . . I can very vividly imagine the dificulty! Maybe I need to make a pit-stop to London, and help hold the cam? The first round will be on me . . .

Really not in any hurry - sorry for the "ribbing" . . . saw the topic at hand, "Ask Jeeves", and I could not resist!

For the record here is the "traditionally" accepted method of attaching the soutache........although not the only way as demonstrated by the photos above.
