Still unpacking boxes from moving last year.
I found this in a box I had packed up in the 70's with a mothed luftwaffe side cap when side caps weren't worth that much and moth damage was the kiss of death. There is a spot the size of a pencil eraser on the left side of the cap as you look at it where a moth larve munched the wool nap to the weave of the cloth but not through it. It is barely perceptable in the photo.
After a re-evaulation with a 2011 perspective I think I will put it on display with my other side caps.

Hell Eric I honestly don't know.
First photo a ten by 21 foot shed kind of stuffed to the rafters with military stuff.
2nd and 3rd pictures of my train caboose, which is my ceramics studio, filled with boxes and WWII American uniforms. Mean while I have a pottery wheel and slabroller setting under my carport. I just don't move as fast as I used to.
That doesn't include my military room in my house.
When I die you damn sure need to come to my estate auction.

Yep, I had the Hart boys move it. They are a family of 1/2 breed Cherokee boys whoose Dad was a 10th mountain vet. Hell they moved a 3 story Victorian house in over a full basement and set it dead on the foundation. I had a crush on their oldest sister in grade school. ( Uwoduhi Tsalagi agehyuja. ) Pretty Cherokee girl.
Our grandmothers were great friends. When they came to visit all they spoke was Cherokee. I wish I could remember more of the language but it has escaped me as I have grown older. English ( Yonega ) is my primary language now. As you know I look like a scotchman with a good tan.
