Bahnschutz visor cap - em/nco

Article about: Hi I am looking to bid on this cap and would appreciate any comments. Cannot see any issues but just in case! Thank you, nic

    Hello Wim,
    I think stonemint pointed it out: a cap with white pipings (which, as you correctly stated, should be light grey) indicate NCO/EM so that the leather chinstrap should be on the cap. Officers' caps with silvery cap cords should have the silvery Gespinstlitze piping. But I must admit that I am confused a bit by this specimen, too.

    Unfortunately I was outbid on the visor and will have to wait for another opportunity.

    Wim I was referring to the fact that the chincord was possibly added postwar to make it into an "officer" visor.

    Sorry, I misunderstood apparently. So, replace the chincord into a leather strap
    and the cap is back in order! Or is there more?
