Can anyone tell me what this is?

I was told this is a Hitler youth cap and the patch pictured goes with it? It looks to be in mint condition, but has that old smell to it. Thanks in advance for your help!!

The patch is a sleeve insignia worn by members of the Hitler Youth in training with the NSKK and have become a qualified driver. It has nothing to do with the cap, which I doubt has anything to do with the 3rd Reich. If this was a HJ cap, it would have some form of RZM marking.

Thanks. I bought a helmet from the same guy as I bought this cap who is selling fakes at the dixie gun and knife show. I think I will have a talk with him when he comes back in December!

Take a look at some of the original Third Reich items within the forum
and study them. As well, have a look at military dealer sites to get
a good idea of today's prices.

It's easy to get burned on this stuff financially when
you are not that familiar with it.........
