looks like this eagle, but no clue what it is
no It's not he same eagle than on your pic. On the pic the eagle looks to the left.
The eagle posted above is PARTEI-eagle, also used for S.A, HJ
then im sorry
Yes, I think Carlsson is correct, a political or SA/HJ eagle,
the Reichpost eagle wings are 'stubbier'.
But is it original ? We'll have to see...........
The Partie eagles are much more 'gold' in colour than this one is.
Regards,
Steve.
It is an M-37 political eagle, most commonly found on SA Kepis after 1936, designed to replace the much smaller M-27 political eagle. This style eagle, in gold, was used by the NSDAP on their visors beginning in 1939.
The eagle in the picture posted by Klinger is the M-38 State eagle, for civil organisations, primarily Post and Forestry. (The M-38 was also made in gold, and is primarily seen on Justiz and Reichsbahn visors.)
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Here is an M-38 State eagle from my collection for comparison.
Cheers, Ade.
this is the kind of eagle you've sent.and only by the front(yours) I think It's ok.
Thanks everyone. I saw it for sale for £33 and just wondered if it was a good deal or not?? Jay
