I like SA caps, too.

This was mine, but I traded it to a friend.

It was in Saris Spronk book and I did not even know it, and still sold it.

At least it, and the other caps I sold went to a good home.

It sole flaw is that it once fell in the asphalt in the spring time of some year and got a stain on it.
Such has great character, in fact.

Maybe the guy was in the Roehm Putsch and the thing fell off his head while being arrested by the SS on 30 June 1934. That is a time when they do re pave the streets, of course. You will know if you drive on the Autobahn. I have even been to Bad Wiesee this year, but did not have time to see the sights. I never have time to see the sights, in fact, and this year I was in Bavaria rather a lot, in fact.

In any case, I got it from a major collector in my region at a fair price and am glad it is now in a leading No. American collection.

I sold this cap to the same chap who now has my ex kepi, and it is in Shea Beaver book. I only realized what I did years later.

I am good at buying high and selling low, you see.

But I hardly see this as a zero sum game, really, as I greatly esteem the man to whom I sold it and take delight in his collection. He has done me many good turns, for which I am also grateful.

Such an old thread, but I voted for Kreigsmarine, because I live on the coast of Ireland where alot of U-boat related things happened. And my dads side of the family have been involved with the royal navy and Irish lighthouses. So I find that branch interesting.

But the SS-VT and the SD would surely come close second.

I had ceased collecting for a while after the stocks went smash, and then resumed with the revival of the market.
