    The owner was from Reiterstandarte 17, with HQ in Regensburg an der Donau. Thanks for the praise, but such is due to another who is the present owner.

    Thank you. I was in Dresden recently at the military museum, and they surely do not have this kind of thing there at all. Many nice things, to be sure, but none of these at all.

    The eagle is placed exceptionally high on this cap don't you think? unusual. No doubting it though obviously.
