Yes it was all my own work but it's hard to do and I'm not ready to compete with Ben VK for restoration work just yet !

I have a similar Panzer visor plagued by moth damage (not as pervasive as this one though) that I was hoping Ben would help me repair.. :-)

White elastic type pasteboard? I think I know what you mean. It's perfectly normal.

I was lucky as the cloth on the side panels had been well preserved, especially on the "underhang" of the crown. Gave me just enough to do the repair.
