Thanks for the kind words, Tony.

This would be the 1934 version of my cap. It has the M-34 Police eagle, which was worn until 1936 (when it was replaced by the more modern looking M-36 eagle):

My Freiwillge Officers visor.....I've always found it difficult to find true Officers visors from either branch.

Mgalat, that is a choice piece. It is a true Officer's M-36 model with the carmine flecking in the cords for the Freiwillige Feuerwehr. As M points out, most "officer" Feuerwehr visors are just NCO upgrades, which was common during the war.

Note that his has a silk lining, and the 2-piece officer eagle.

Henkel was the major Effeketen distributor for the Feuerwehr during the war. I believe they are still in business to this day.

    Here's a link to one I posted a while back. Dated 1935.

Great cap, Tony--I forgot about that one!

In case anyone is interested, here is the M-33 Feuerwehr visor in wear. Note the complete absence of an eagle/swastika (a situation which would be rectified in 1934).

These are Berufsfeurwehr uniforms, as denoted by the black backing to their tabs. (Freiwillige would have carmine backed tabs).

A Beautiful cap, and I really enjoyed the info/comparisons between the earlier and later caps! Thanks
