Great cap. Is that type of bullion insignia found only on High Seas Ferry Service caps? I have one which was inexplicably attached to a post-war cap (below) - so I'm just wondering if I'd be right to call it a High Seas one.

Igor, it is a Feuerwehr (fireman) visor with Reichsbahn insignia added postwar, so yes, it is way overpriced.

Still looking to pick up a Bahnschutzpolizei eagle and wreath for the cap I posted a couple of months back (that someone put a Beer eagle and wreath on). Man, they are hard to find

Greetings to my new friends. I have such an interesting Reichsbahn cap. It is interesting in that it has an ink stamp depicting an imperial eagle. Interesting who put such stamps for what.

I can't see an imperial stamp, the stamp in the cap is some NS-Reichsadler stamp (blurred, so one can't see the swastica nor read the words aoround the eagle).

Hello ErWeSa. Yes, that's right. This is an NS-Reichsadler stamp but what does it do on a cap, what is it for? Perhaps it means that this thing belongs to the railway station?

It is a Reichsbahn-Kleiderkasse cap, could be that the stamp is of the railway station or the owner wanted to mark it. The Reichsbahn specialists here might know.
