Early Bergmütze

It always brightens my day when a box from Virtual Grenadier shows up. Early (pre-1938 if my limited knowledge of these serves) example of a officer upgraded issue Bergmütze. The unit property stamp inside is to the anti-tank battalion of the 1st GJ Division. Which is great because it goes semi-well with my officer upgraded GJR 99 (also 1st GJ Division) issue tunic and my early Berghose (GJ trousers). Although the cap is in decidedly better condition than my salty tunic and seriously salty trousers.

It will be great to put an entire mannequin together now when I get the time.

Thanks Paul. It took a couple years to put together. Early tunic, early trousers in similar condition, and finally an early cap that matches the tunic in that it is also an issue item that an officer "upgraded" for their use. I also had to source the shoulder boards in matching condition to the tunic as the tunic was a Nachlass discovery that had never been in a collection and came without boards.
