Thank you for posting this cap. In all my years of collecting hats I never ever managed to find an example of this one.
Interestingly your shot of the roll-call shows the other version of this cap with the cap band in the same light colour as the crown of the cap.
Could you show the interior? I am extremely interested in this early period of headgear and the linings during these years are informative.

Derek--thanks for the kind comments. Apparently, the earlier caps were all dark in terms of the body. I will post a pic this weekend of the interior. It is simple wasserdicht with a size stamp and an oilcloth sweatband.
