Form III Gauleitung visor for review and comments

Hi All - I have owned this visor for a couple of years, and would appreciate any comments or thoughts. I bought it on an online auction and never had it vetted. The leather sweat band has the name 'Lang' punched out. It is salty but I like the early stuff. Thanks for taking a look at it.

No RZM tag under the sweatband, nor any signs of one.

J--I would actually put this in the Form 2 category.

I get confused between the Form 2 and Form 3. This would be Form 2 because of the Tellerform shape and the dark brown color of the cap band? I have Wim's Volume 3 but I am not clear on it.

Yes, a chocolate-brown band usually designates Form 2. The Form 2s also (usually) utilize the M-34 political political eagle, and 1st type cockade, but not always.
There are also transitional visors, which were made in between the new regs, so the hats are somewhat of a mish-mosh during those phases.
However, given the low peak; leather visor; M-27 eagle, I would definitely place yours in the Form 2 category.
