Yes, no SS yet? Maybe one day, but of course the shields are faked and even with real shields, you could stick them on any pith. I saw a real looking one on ebay a few or more months back -I have the pics from the seller- which was pulled by the ebay anti-nazi police. It was a Reissue Italian M1928, probably one of a stash found on Corsica, which included KM reisssues and maybe Heer reissues as well. All were mint and unissued. There is a pair of SS pith shields for sale on a web dealers site, $1500usd, too rich for my budget.

What I most want is a German made -Carl Halfar was the only maker- blue luft pith, but as only six are known to exist, I doubt I'll get one any time soon.

Very nice pith! I like the greens as well. These look much more comfortable than wearing 4 pounds of steel and leather.
