Another beauty Erich,
These Marke Standard caps are wonderful. Although I can't quite see in your photos, I presume the front half of the sweatband has the Stirndruckfrei feature like this other example?
Indeed the same interior Ben, I really like how that was done.
A wonderful EREL Cav Tony!
Erich, wonderful looking cap, i would ask that you continue to post your terrific collections here as i think you will find that the vast majority of serious collectors , and anyone who has avidly followed the threads from you, realise that no rubbish exists in the items you show, as for the uninformed comments made , they see something out of the norm and automatically question it without basis. It would be a sad day that your collections become the fruit for another forum, Regards dave
Its a 100% original and textbook Marke Standard visor. Yes, Janke uses this logo extensively, even today, but the real ones are light-years removed from a Janke. IMHO, Marke Standard made some of the best-shaped visors of the TR. Unfortunately, they also over-used the ersatz sweatbands, which do not hold up well over time.
Regarding the eagle, you will see this type in period pictures.
Erich, your collection is just maganimious!

Kid--
Look at the hats on this site. All are reproductions by Janke (they are not fakes, because they are not being sold as original).

Chris, are we any closer to knowing who exactly "Marke Standard" was or do you think it was a consortium?
No, I think it was a Mutzenfabrik unto itself. The only way we will find out is via an RZM-tagged NSDAP visor. I saw one once, but the guy didn't take a pic of the RZM tag before he got rid of it, but it is only a matter of time before another surfaces.

Erich,
perhaps the cap was entnazifiziert and the swastika removed???
And many years later, someone was trying to repair this?
Fine Cap and interesting!
