Heer M38 Artillery Officers Feldmütze

I picked this cap out right out of the woodwork in NJ!!
It is a size 62, is in mint condition on the surface but the inside of the cap has wear and the leather sweat band has fallen out, but I do have it! Along with the Dogtags of the paratrooper who brought this and several other items home!
It is an early 1938 made cap. And has the double metallic embroied insignia, which is quite uncommon. Not a moth hole. My favorite piece

When I bought it it had one, was held on by literally one thread. It has since fell out, it's faintly marked with a name and 1938. But I still have it, it's in good shape, both ends were cut down for some reason.

If you mean under the eagle I've seen that before, on the cap itself, not this one but my old M43 Luftwaffe cap I used to have, it looks like spots were the material has worn away and the stitching remains , if I'm explaining it right?
