Latest pickup--a late war Erel Smoke Troops visor with the Bordorot piping:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
This late-war "economy" Erels differ from the ones from 38-44. There is no stirndruckfrei system, the visors are compressed laquered cardboard, and no vented cockades. They are always Trikot:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
The padding is also lighter, but is still there. The peak, while high, is not as high as the earlier models:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Piping is thicker on the top ring, as is the case with previous models.
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Silk lining is not a smooth as the earlier ones. There is no Erel stamp on the leather sweatband, either.
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
I don't believe these linings were inked, but this one does have the standard Erel stamp, and "Extra".
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
I liked the wreath on this:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
What a superb looking cap Stoney, i just love the Erel caps, they are special
Comparison to Generalstab:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Das ist alles, volks!
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
